Editing

We started to put the final video together after we had finished all of the filming. we had a few problems with it because the video wouldnt sync properly but we did more editing and abit mroe filming to make sure the video syncs. After we did this we had parts of the video that we had forgoten about due to the fact that there was no lyrics, such as when the beat is playing without lyrics. Instead of re-fliming these bits we looked through the footage we already had and decided to put in afew parts that we had already filmed. This worked really well with our video due to the fact it is a fast song and doesnt really have a story line. The clips we used fit in with our music video really well.

Filming Problems

During the time we were suppose to be filming the music video Luke (my partner) has been sick and therefore not able to come in. Because of this i have had to hold back on my filming until he feels better and well enough to film. I need Luke to film in my music video because he is one half of my group and also he is the main actor in my music video. we have also filmed most of our music video in Lukes house, therefore i can not carry on filming the parts that only I sing in.

Because of this i have been forced to just re-edit the clips that we have already filmed and make sure that the opening scene is good. In our music video we filmed a introduction to the music video of us walking tom the house where the music video will be filmed. After this happens i used such editing clips as box cuts, swipes, circle cuts and fades to change from shot to shot.

advancing

During the last two years of media studies i have learnt alot of different techniques that have helped me create our music video. I have learnt such techneques as cross cutting and fades. These have helped us create great scene cuts in our music video. We have used these sorts of editing to mix into our media music video.

Filming start

Today me and luke have decided to start to film some of the narrative scenes for our music video today. we are going to film all of the narrative scenes first and film the performance scenes after, this is because then we can make sure that we have covered the whole video. we have a simple idea for the performance scenes but the narrative scenes will take longer to film as they are more complicated.

Our filming location got moved too adams house, and instead of having joab in our music video we have now used adam in it. We made these changes because adams house was closer and the bedroom was more ideal for the filming location as it is a bigger room. On our first day

Story-Boarding

Me and Luke started too look at different shots that would fit into the narrative scenes of our video and decided to story board the story and the performance scenes separately. This is because then we can focus on doing the performing scenes first and then work on the story and edit it together. i think by doing it this way it will make it alot easier then doing it all in order as we wont have to worry about how it all fits together until after we have done the performance scenes.
